I have narrowed my stick choices down to the 05 stealth or 05 ST.

Right now I am leaning towards the stealth grip, but the ST sounds appealing since it appears to be their toughest and strongest stick. How do these sticks compare and contrast?

05 stealth has great performance but lacks durability the ST is a tank and it has good performance not as good as the stealth but still a great stick

Yea ST is a great stick, I walked over to dicks sporting goods and checked one out for a few minutes during my 15 minute break at work. It was nice :D

Well I can pickup a 100 flex Forsberg ST tomorrow if I wanted to for $150.

I am very tempted to do so. Nice and shiney blue :D

Right now my only concerns are where these sticks usually break.

How often do the shafts of both sticks break, not just the blade.

As long as the majority of stick breakage allows for the stick to be converted to a two piece, then I will have no more issues. Thats the only reason I am still hesitating on getting an OPS and not a Synergy II. :P

If this is any indication on my playing type... I am 6'1" 187 pounds, and have been using an Easton Typhoon and Ultra Carbon blade for 3 years now. Only a few chips in the blade, and only a few dings/chips in the shaft, but the thing is still truckin. Now thats a tank of a stick right there.

How often does the stick break in a way that it cannot be used as a 2 piece. I am willing to bet with my playing style (IE being responsible with my stick :P ) that it will end up being a blade crack, or just used for 3-4 months until it just breaks due to common wear down. Cashing my recent pay check today after school, probably buying the ST :D

To be honest the ST will probably have more "feel" than my current stick. My stick is pretty solid. As long as the ST is equal to or a little better in feel, and adds power to my shots, its worth the price.

One other question.

Do you think that planning ahead on re using the ST shaft and buying new blades for it, or just going out and buying a Synergy II would be better off. Are the shafts essesntialy the same and share the same chances of breaking?

With the blade fused into the stick I would think that an OPS shaft is destroyed more often than a 2 piece.

shafts are probably pretty much the same, just less of a PITA when the blade breaks on the SYN II. Thing is, SYN II blades are the same as SL blades, and those are nototrious for breakage.
