What are you hoping to learn ? "Real estate" covers many things. Do you want to learn how to landlord ? Are you interested in commerical or residential properties ? Do you see yourself buying properties and flipping them, or do you want to hold them as rent-producing investments ?

I think Rich Dad Poor Dad would probably help, its goal is to generally prepare for financial success, but the plan focuses on real estate.

I want to get a book that will help me read up on a real estate agent or broker. I also am going to ask for a financial book along with a stock books. Just seeing what are the better ones to buy. Thanks.

Something's missing above, I'm assuming you want to learn about becoming an agent/broker. This book on Amazon looks like it might be worth checking out if you just want to see what the field is about. I haven't read it.

But if you're really serious, find out what agency in your area licenses real estate agents and then consider taking one of their courses. In many cases the programs are graduated (i.e. you take several courses in succession), so you could take the first course, and then see if you're still interested.

Or, ask an agent that you know if you could borrow his or her course materials.
