Blade Tape vs. Butt End Tape

Recommended Posts

Include how u tape the blade of your stick (ex: entire heel to toe, halfway to the toe, etc.)

Also include how u tape the butt end of your stick (ex: twist the tape with knob, one layer with small knob, etc.)

I tape the blade once heel to toe. Sometimes i put a layer on the bottom of the blade and then tape it once. I tape my butt end by running a layer of tape down about 8 inches and then back up to the top. Nice and simple. I don't like the feeling of a knob so i keep it all smooth

it depends what curve i have. with a sakic i tape from very close to the heel all the way to the toe same with an iginla but if i have a sundin i only tape the middle of the blade. as for the but end i just put a small knob using white tape i dont put any tape down the shaft because i have a grip stick and i dont want to wear the palms of my gloves down fast.

I tape my blade heel to toe, but I put two to three 'plateu' layers on the toe and finish it off like a square toe. Then I cut the excess to match the toe. For my butt end, I go once around the top and I spin the tape to make a thin, but tall end. I typically use white for everything, but occastionally black on the blade.
