Skate pain help

I just got a pair of 1500 two months ago. the skates feel fine except for one area. when ever i wear my shin pad over the tounge of my skate, it always get cut up on the outside part of my leg, almost right at the top of the boot. then the other night i tried wearing my pad under the tounge and it felt fine. i have never worn my shin pads like that but there was no cutting on my leg at all. any clue as to why? if it help i tape my pad at the bottom, like around the pad and the back of my leg, not the tendon gaurd, and it seems like the felt on the tounge is the part that is causing the problem.

I would try them on in the house with your shinpads over the tongue and walk around (with skateguards obviously) to try and pinpoint the problem area.once you know exactly what is going on, it will be easier to ffind a solution.You could also use molefoam or moleskin padding on that part of your leg.Two months is quite a long time to be having this problem though.It may be that the cut of this boot or the material of the tongue just isn't for you.There was a big thread on someone who was being eaten alive by his skate tongues a while back.Maybe try to find the link...

if you find out what's rubbing you, you can put a piece of moleskin over it.
