Black vs. White

I'm sorry if this seems like a really stupid question but is there any actual difference between white and black cloth tape? I know some prefer white or black because it blends with the ice/puck but is there any real advantage to using one over the other or is it just a color personal preference?

its just preferance...i use white cause thats all i ever really used and never changed... i have one roll of black tape and ive had it for over 2 years.
