Stick on stick penalties

Recommended Posts

I thought when the "new standard" of officiating was introduced, they said that stick on stick would be allowed as a way to break up a play, but if you put your stick on the body, you'd get hooking, holding or interference.

I keep hearing Commentators talk about stick on stick fouls...

Isn't that allowed...? or is there a "newer standard" than the original "new standard" of officiating.

??

i just saw it happen on the caps-sens game. looked like a clean play and got called as "make-up" for a missed call.

I think we saw the same one...

Radio I think the players thought that too. Was watching a Kings game a few weeks back and Alex Frolov got called for a hooking call for lifting a players stick as the puck was coming towards him. Good defensive play to prevent a scoring chance. Something I and I'm sure everyone else has been taught since the started playing.
