perf steel VS. non-perf steel

Is there a big difference between the two. is preforated steel much lighter? i am going to get another pair of LS2 blades to rotate them and was wondering if perf steel will make my skate(XXX)noticibly light.

i have a set of perf on my skates now and if i get regular steel will i really notice the difference between them when i switch for games?
