willy0314 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2006 Wow! thanks that is awesome!. Yeah ok, I want to lower my body fat, but gain weight in muscle.I didn't read this entire post, but let me try to help you out. First you aren't going to drop a ton of body fat and put on a ton of muscle mass at the same time. Your body dosen't work like that. You have to do one or the other. Basicly, if you want to bulk up, you should be lifting regularly and eating everything you come across (enough protine to equal 1g per lb of body weight). If you want to cut body fat, you should lift to maintain strength and size and do regular cardio.I just read that your 6ft and 156 pounds, so you dont have much body fat to begin with, but you dont have much muscle mass either. I would try to put on muscle so you fill out your frame more. That means lifting around 4 or 5 times a week, and fixing your diet. Most people think they have a good diet, but really it is shit. You could train like a pro, but if you dont eat like one you will never see any changes.you must have a fast metabolism, so your going to be shocked how much you have to eat to start putting on muscle. The forums on Bodybuilding.com are a great resource to research diet and lifting plans. They have hockey specific work out plans as well.
