need XL elbow pads

I had the old vapor 4 elbow pads, totally cashed out. I ordered some sr Lg vector 10 elbow pads, and even with the string/pulley system completely loosened they barely slide on. when I do finally get them on they are wayyy too tight, I can't play in these things.

so, I was wondering about the bauer 8000 elbow pads Lg/XL.

do you think they'll fit? any other suggestions?
