Bauer skates in C width

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum but have been reading for a while. Finally decided to ask a question I can't seem to find the answer on the Net.

I had my foot mesured recently in a Sports Experts store. Apparently I have C width feet, altough I have been wearing D width in bauer supreme and vapor line skates. My feet are flat, my ankles are skiny. I have until now always had 9.5D in vapor xx and bauer 8000, but I feel with time they streched and a size 9 would be best. I wear size 10.5 US shoe, 165 pounds, 5 11, recreational hockey.

I am wondering if I should stick with the same size skate but in C or go half a size smaller but remain in D?

What do you guys think? Any new skates out there that would fit the bill? I am ready to invest in new skates. If I go with C width can my hockey store order them?

Thanks :)

Next time you try on skates, try the half size smaller. Put on the skate, kick your heel back as far as you can. Your toes should "feather" the edge of the toe cap while you are sitting down. As long as you can't move you foot around inside the skate, I don't think you would need a C width.

hi deadmanjolt,

Sounds logical enough thanks, I am interested in the supreme 70 but it seems from what I've read they are widder than the original supreme line of skates. I tried them on and they fit well in 8.5 D (heel stays in place) they do have a bump in the middle of the skate that I am worried my cause some disconfort eventually.

Considering my narrow heels and flat feet do you know of any other model that could fit my feet. thanks!

Try out the RBK or CCM Tack line if your LHS has them. Graf makes a great number of skates that are designated by fit, although they are quite pricey.

Another option is to try out a different insole in the Bauers; most people praise SuperFeet.
