tried the search but nothing really came up. I was wondering what these skates are like as far as stiffness is concerned and perfprmance. how are they compared to th old 8090's and the vapor 30's. thanks.

Similar fit to the 80-90 but a half size bigger and about the same width, the boot has a little more flex forward and the cut above the quater package is a little lower, have had people say that they prefer the traditional feel of the 80-90....hope that helps.

Also, keep in mind that Vapor XXX and the Supreme series have totally different fit as well.

light as xxx's and stiff on the bottom, and softer up on the ankles, cannot be squeezed by one hand. overall very stiff.

one more quick question about the fit. my lhs does not carry one90's but he said that the 70's fit the same and that he would fit me for those and i could buy the one90's over the internet. is that true that 70's and 90's fit the same?

very similar but not completely. ive tried both one90 and 70. one90 stiffer and less deep, and the one90 fitted much better than 70's, closer to foot and overall greater fitting

One BIG difference I found between 80-90 and Supreme70 was the amount of space between the top of my foot and the boot. The area I'm talking about is where the tongue meets the toe cap. On the 80-90's there was at least 1/4" of space between my foot and the boot material. I almost bought the 80-90's but couldn't get over that space.

I also tried on 70's a few months back. I found that the area between my foot and boot at the same location was much less. In fact, the bood was snug against my foot near the tongue/toe cap connection. Unfortunately, the 70's were 1/2 size too small for me or I'd be skating in them now. Of course, that could also by why they were more snug too.

I ended up with XXX's and love them.

Hope this helps a little, especially if you plan on ordering them and can't try them on beforehand.
