Mission L7 VS Bauer 5000's

Recommended Posts

I fit Bauer supremes well in a size 7.5/8d, and was wondering around what size mission I should look into if I decided to buy the L7 from Hockeygiant. I know they say same as shoe size, But that can't be right from what I've read in the many threads in this forum.

I also have the chance to buy a new pair of the old Bauer 5000's for cheap in my size. Which skate do think is stiffer? I don't have a LHS, so I have no way of fitting skates at all. Do these 2 skates share a similar fit, other than the hight of the L7? TIA.

I got My L7s 1/2 size down from my shoe size (11 shoe, 10.5 skate). I could go at least a half size down from what i'm wearing. If it helps any, they're prettym uch equivalent in size to my Vapor XX size 10's, which are also probably 1/2 size too big for me.

I wouldn't know how to compare sizing in either skate to your 5000s.

As far as the 5000s vs L7s, I'd say go with the L7s. The Pitch holder is a great feature, and the steel holds an edge very well. I don't know if you're big on weight savings, but the L7s are very light, comparable (and maybe even a touch lighter than) my XXs.

Thanks for the advise. I think I might try get ahold of a friend with some missions and try his on. I would really hate to order the wrong size. Thanks for the quick response.

I love my l7's. Great holder and steel as mentioned, very stiff and durable. Sizing was same as a Vapor lengthwise for me. Maybe a touch narrower at the forefoot, but barely noticeable.
