TUUK Rocker Chassis differences

Recommended Posts

Maybe not quite what you were looking for, but I'll post anyway. I've tried a rocker chassis before (sorry, forgot which one, but it was similar to #4 above). Anyway, I didn't really like it...I dunno, felt off for some reason. Yeah, I know that it is SUPPOSED to feel like ice skates, but to me it didn't. I like the hi/lo configuration much better, then only recently began my affair with the sprung chassis.

But that was just me. It's probably just personal preference. And for $10 + s/h, it probably wouldn't hurt to try the last pair you have listed there.

Just my $0.02

I mounted two sets of the Philbricks TUUK rocker chassis, what I mean by Philbricks is the blue metal frame with plastic rocker section they sell for $10.00. I mounted one on a set of CCM 325 Tacks for my 11 year old son for Christmas and I put another set on a pair of CCM 4.5 Edge skates I have had in a box for a while for me. He has tried his and likes them but I have not tried mine. The frame appears to be built pretty well but I go about 240 pounds so I don't know how it will hold up for me. If I had known that Hockey Giant was going to offer the Sherwood E-Frame for $4.99 I would not have mounted the TUUK chassis for myself but my boy loves the blue color of the TUUK.

The frame does look pretty cool I'm just a little concerned about how well it will hold up and I know the E-Frame holds up well and you can buy 2 of them at Hockey Giant for the price of the TUUK rocker.
