Harrow OPS broken...

I broke a Harrow V# sabre OPS a while ago...and since I really like the shaft I decided I wanted to put a tappered blade on it. However it seems like the inside of the shaft is smaller then the synergy's. So I had to buy a wood tappered blade and shave it down a little for it to fit! Anyone has found a way to put on a "synthesis" type of blade without shaving it?
