50th Anniversary of the First Victory

Of Team USSR at the Olympic Games

Aviator Sports and Recreation is proud to host a unique hockey exhibition game featuring legends of Russian hockey. Historically, Russia and the former Soviet Union have produced some of the strongest, most talented and admired hockey players the world has known. CSKA (Central Sports Army Club), widely known in the US as the Red Army Team, was one of the foremost sports teams in history. The Red Army Team dominated hockey in Russian and Europe in the 1970’s and ‘80’s, winning the Soviet championship for 13 consecutive years. They played and defeated several NHL teams, during a North American tour in the mid 1970’s, including the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Detroit Red Wings legend and 3-time Stanley Cup winner.Fetisov, currently the Minister of Sports for the Russian Federation, will attend the event as a special guest.

Oksana Baiul: 1994 Winter Olympics Gold Medalist in ladies figure skating, 1993 World Figure Skating Champion. Baiul will perform on the ice between periods.
