Bauer Flexlite 8s, Bauer Vapor XR-Lites?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, new here, cool site. I was looking for new skates (my current skates barely have any ankle support, and my feet end up pronating), found a really good deal on Bauer Flexlite 8s, and Bauer Vapor XR-Lites. Would anybody recommend either of them? Are they any good? If not does anybody know of any other good (preferably top-end skates) for $200 or under? Thanks.

You'll find much better value and roller hockey specific ankle support in a pair of Missions than you will with those Bauer models. Although they are "high-end" in terms of NikeBauer's RH line they are still just watered down ice hockey boots.

Your best bet? Shop Mission's top o' the line models from last year and the year before (the Helium series). I personaly skate Tours for inline but in my opinion the ankle is cut lower than the Missions and may not be your cup of tea.

i'm not a huge fan of missions. i started in ccm's, moved to Tours for years and loved them, but with playing do much ice, i decided to get XR lites as my next pair. i love them. definitely worth the $180.
