broken stick

Recommended Posts

My sherwood momentum RM7 stick was broke yesterday during a game. I love this stick. I just curious, can I use this stick by repairing with replacement blade? I think it couldn't but just curious. thnak you.

Where is the stick broken? If it's anywhere on the shaft than you can do an SRS. It's a sleeve that is inserted at the break to reinforce the stick. I had it done to my ST and couldn't notice a differce between when I bought it and the repaired one.

Seriously? I tried one that had been fixed in mid-shaft and the stick jumped by at least 10lbs of flex...maybe it was just a poor repair job.

Both SRS and stick fix are now also repairing blades.

or do a search on "cutting OPS" and bone up on what you need to do to convert your stick into a shaft. Most people wouldnt need to actually do research to do this sort of thing, however.

is it last years RM7? (Black, white, gold colored?)... I think there might (Might- not 100% sure) be stuff inside the shaft of the RM7. Take a tape measurer and put it in the hollow end of the butt to make sure it's completely hollow all the way to the blade.... then just cut close to the blade and work your way up 'til it fits.

check out all the other "cutting an OPS" topics, they're really helpful.

TXD, and an RM7 are completely different make-ups, if memory serves me correct. I know a lot of people at my lhs buy pro stock TXD's just for the sake of turning this into a shaft.... I'm not so sure they do with the RM7. Like I mentioned, make sure the shaft is hollow... if I remember right, there's foam injected inside... it's not completely hollow.
