Blade Hollow Question for Skate Sharpeners

I live in the land of the worst skate sharpeners in the country and they usually do a horrible job so I can't really ask them this question. I am 210lbs and skate on Ice that is very hard, think finger nails across a chalk board hard. I want a hollow that allows me to cut into the ice but I can coast or float with out much labor, what do you guys recommend?

have you tried a 5/8'' with your size the 5/8'' should be enough to let you still "grip" but yet allow you to coast freely, im just not positive about the ice conditions so i could not have a 100% positive answer.

I would agree with that. Being 210 pounds, a 5/8 should be perfect. If that's not right i just go back to the regular 4/8.

just a tidbit for king paris, MOST people reduce the fractions i.e. 4/8=1/2, just so you dont get torn apart by some guys on the website
