Throwin it out there, not sure how many people on here can help me out but does anyone know of any actual good lhs in or around brooklyn? Ordering things offline without being able to see and feel it gets to be pretty hit or miss

Wonderland Sports is on or around 66th street and 11th avenue. i've never been there myself, but have heard they have a great selection. I've been to their satellite store at chelsea piers. Prices aren't the greatest, but they're manageable.

There are a lot of good shops in Long Island, and a few in queens as well. Sports Plus on Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood is where I usually shop.

PM me if u want any more info.

There used to be 3 different good shops in the Glendale area when I was growing up. There's only one left.

There used to be a youth roller league that was very strong, running a good 4 or 5 divisions with 6-8 teams in each, as well as men's division. The rink was always full of rink rats (myself being one of them)

Over time, the league folded, as have most youth roller leagues in queens. There was a men's league that lasted 2 seasons, but the rink is now in shambles. It seems like nobody ever plays in queens anymore, and there's not much in terms of places for kids to learn to play. It's a darn shame.

From my experience i would stay away from the store in Chelsea Piers. Not saying they dont have good service or anything like that but i laughed when i saw the prices of some of the things they were selling, especiallly OPS's. Granted its in the city and everything is more expensive in the city, but when i see a Easton SL selling for $70+ more then in my shop or any local shop in my area for that matter. I know ill get a agrument from someone about this, but i guess as long as people are willing to pay for it then i cant really complain.

I'll agree that sticks and shafts were priced rather high, but the gloves didnt seem to be too bad in terms of price. I almost picked up a pair of Vapor XVs from them awhile back, but they didnt have my color/size in stock at the time.

That's why shopping around is an option.
