Bake a Helmet...

I have heard you can bake a helmet just like skates. Is this true??

Baking a bucket would pretty much compromise everything, including the wearer's integrity.

I would have to imagine that baking a helmet could potentially decrease the integrity of it.

In all fairness, you could say the same thing about skates: If they don't fit, buy a different brand. Heat molding doesn't make a skate fit, it just makes a skate fit better. Maybe HockeyFan had this in mind when asking about helmets...

that doesnt seem like a logical thing to do. Baking a helmet? like others have said it will probably lose some of its protection

I would imagine it would loosen a lot of the adhesives that hold the padding in place - that stuff is where it is for a reason.
