well im like 5 foot 9 around there. i have a 2005 stealth senior with the end plug removed. it comes up to my mouth without skates and chin with skates which is the general guideline. i want a new stick with a bit more flex though and the senior vapor xxx lite goes up to my nose and theres no end plug to remove. if i cut then itll just get stiffer and negate the whole point of me wanted to buy a new stick anyways. the cnt stealth is also up to my nose as well. what can i do? im not sure if intermediate is the correct length for me because they didnt have any in stock but its probably to much flex though.

The general guidelines say between your chin and your nose while on the ice, but it's all PP. If you feel it's too long, you cut a little off and go from there. Yes, convention says you'll get a slightly stiffer shaft whenever you do cut. I'll leave it to others to tell you how much.

Make sure you keep a butt end in, even if you have to trim it flush with the stick end to avoid taking a core sample of somebody.

What flex are you currently using, and which flex are you looking to try out?

85 flex. i wanted to get the 77 flex xxx lite. and as is right now i feel a longer stick wouldnt be good. i wouldnt want to stick handle with the puck any further out from my body.

i see well i guess ill just try out the xxx lite. if i dont like the extra length i can take off like 1/2inch or something and get it close to what i have right now with hopefully a negligible affect on the flex. im not sure how much cut off corresponds to increased flex.
