nicksmission14 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2007 In a Vapor XXX, I was fitted for a 6.. Which would mean if I did a custom skate I could get in a C Width. I'm really worried about something going wrong with the custom skates....I need to try a skate with a C Width.. The only skate I tried on that I fell into a junior size was the One90. The rest I was a 6 except for mission where I was a 7.5.
nicksmission14 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Well, I went to my LHS tonight... I worked with a really knowledgeable employee and found that the GRAF 703 fit my foot absolutely perfect. Really narrow skate all the way through but especially in the heel/ankle area. They advised me to wait for the G3 Ultra which will fit the same and is lighter. I was told approx. April 15th so I'll just be holding out until then. Needless to say I'm really happy as the 703 was without a doubt the best fitting skate I have ever put on my foot. gman 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 It is amazing what a difference going to a shop with real live people makes. :) Glad to hear you will finally have some resolution on this.
nicksmission14 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Thank You, You would not believe how excited/happy I was. Just about every skate on the market was too wide for my foot. To find a skate that fit my foot perfect made me ecstatic.
Fredrik 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Since Graf offers three different widths, did you try on a N (narrow) or a R (regular)?
nicksmission14 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 I tried the R width, I don't think the person with an average sized foot could fit comfortably in a 703. The N Width must be really really narrow.
Fredrik 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Ok, just curious. I've never tried the 703:s on, but from what I've heard they fit pretty narrow in the fore/midfoot and regular in the heel. I really do not know...Glad to hear that you finally found a skate that fits you (like a glove)... :)
nicksmission14 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 I think it is safe to that the whole skate fits real narrow lol. The 705 which I tried on for giggles had a wider toe box/forefoot and slightly wider heel compared the 703It was a funny too, I was searching the board earlier to find what skates fit narrow out of the box and I had seen quite a few people mention how narrow the 703's were. As soon as I walked in my LHS and this employee saw my foot he immediately recommended the 703's. Must have been meant to be hehe...
