hockeyguy2925 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 I need some [cheaper] roller hockey skates for an outdoor rec league and some occasional indoor play. I mostly play ice so i'm not trying to break the bank here. I have some indoor wheels so if i tear up the wheels that they come with i can switch for some indoor action.whats the best pair (closeout or new to this year) of skates that i could get for about $150 shipped? hockeydoc 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Here's my suggestion. I think it might depend upon the size you need.http://www.hockeygiant.com/mishe9500sktsr.html

James 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 I was faced with that same problem of cheap skates. I ended up going with the Mission Wicked 7s. They are great, a little heavy, but very comfy. I play outdoor.
hockeyguy2925 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 i like the patriots, but undecided on the hummer chasis. seems like it would be hard to get used to. the wicked 7's are nice, but too muchi just found the bauer vapor Xr lites for $170 shipped and i'm thinking about getting these since i use vapor XX's for ice. anyone have these? what do you think of themunless any toher deals are around its between the bauers and the tours. DamnLocust 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 The tours are good especially if you've got a wider foot. Although it's been quite some time since I've been on a HiLo, I remember feeling much faster on the Hum'er frames almost immediately, although I also felt like I was back on my heels. Also, Mission skate size no longer runs true to shoe size, it's closer to Tour and others' sizing now.
