Worth the extra money?

Recommended Posts

My son, who is 12, owns the Vector PF2s in a size 3. They are VERY small on him and it is obviously time for an upgrade. He plays every day at his buddies house, for about 2/3 hours. His PF2s are very beat up, but he loves them. I am getting him new skates for him. Should I get the new Vector 2.0s or 4.0? What are the noticable differences? Or should I grab a pair of PF8s on clearance on Hockeymonkey? Would any of these be to soft or too stiff? (I want to stick with Vectors)

Thanks in advance.

I haven't posted in a while, new computer.

Id say go for the PF8's on clearance. you will always get more bang for your buck with last years clearance skates. They will be much stiffer and may take a bit longer to break in, but will be an overall better skate that the 2.0s and 4.0s.
