I thought the Blue's didn't care anymore about anything after trading Guerin AND Tkatchuk, this should help bring SOME talent to the STL because Weight can't bear all of the weight himself(haha).

What do you mean you thought they didn't care? Tkachuk and Guerin were both FAs at the end of the season, and there's a high chance Tkachuk will resign with STL... not to mention JD cashed in on both of those players, we have 7 picks in the first three rounds (3 of which are first round)... I'll take that over Guerin during a rebuilding process... since who knows if he would resign with the Blues at the end of the season anyway...

JD did the right thing in trading both of those players.
