Shoulder Pad Sizing

Recommended Posts

I'm in the market to upgrade my shoulder pads. Depending on the brand, I fit either a men's small or medium.

For the same model of pads, what parts are made smaller/larger for different sizes?

Specifically, are the shoulder caps the same size for small and medium pads?

I would prefer to get a pair of size small pads with proportionately smaller caps. Is there a particular brand that I should be focusing on? I've tried on a pair of Winwells that fit fine, but I want to try a few more on before buying.

Thanks.

JR recommended to me the CCM Vector 10.0. They are nice low-profile shoulder caps, which is what I prefer. Should be nice and protective and hopefully not too restrictive. In regards to what size to get, i'm 5'10" 187lbs and wear size medium.

I recently had your same problem, Im between a small and medium so I got the KOHO size 4 (Small/medium)

It ended up being too tight on me and the shoulder caps would ride up. I guess I have wider shoulders

I ended up purchasing an Easton 300 size medium and it fit perfect on my shoulders (thank goodness for the adjustible biceps tho). When compared to the small, the mediums had wider shoulders and the elastic straps around the ribs were a wee bit longer

I am 5'9, 160 lbs, chest size 38.
