"transplanting" holders

Excuse the noob question, I tried searching but the threads related to holder replacement didn't specifically mention moving used holders from one skate to another.

So I'm wondering, is it possible to take off the holders from one skate and have them mounted on another skate (of a another brand), assuming both skates fit the same feet so roughly same size? (I'm thinking about existing holes not matching, size of holder and stuff like that)

Basically I was thinking of buying a pair of skates with t-blades, it's a decent deal so not the end of the world if I don't like them, but if it turns out I like the blades (and not the boots), I'd like to be able to take off the holders and put them on other skates.

Yes you'd be able to do that.
