Mission Wicked 3"s

Recommended Posts

I use to skate on the He950 and moved to He10000 size 11 they fit perfect. I stupidly assumed the same and bought size 11 mission 3's, these things are way to big.. I skated on them and my heal slips like crazy. Although the inside heal pain is not as bad as i expected. I dont know what to do with them since they are used and unreturnable. Im going to sell them and go with a smaller size but i still have no clue even where to start, i think i can go as small as a 9.5-10. The new sizing is comparable to Tour skates where i wear a size 11 shoe and a 9.5 to 10 skates.

I also found out the hard way that Wicked 1's don't fit according to shoe size.

Comming from a 9.5 Mission VSI I had heard that the new missions match up with shoe size. My bigger foot measures 10.5 inches and I wear either a 10.5 - 11 shoe. I first tried a 10.5 and found that too big. I'm now in a 10 but I'm thinking I should be in a 9.5

Isn't it about time that all the companies went to a uniform skate size? How about basing it strictly on the measurement of the bare foot?

I went from an 11 10000 to an 11WI but glad I did not get the EE width as my feet would be swimming as well

yeah i think once i get the right size i am really going to like them, the boot is high which is nice, i have been skating on tours and the boot is too low on them. these skates seem like they will last forever and the pain like i said is not as bad as i expected.

I don't think our skates have ever fit true to shoe size. In the 10 years I have been with Mission I have worn either 9's (the first two years) and then 8.5 (currently). I am a size 10 shoe.

This is the problem with not trying skates on. I can tell you that our Skates have been built on the same "last" for the past 4 years. All we have done is add extra material to the area were the toe box joins the boot.

I typically wear a size 8 shoe. In missions I used to wear 7.5, but in the Ice skates I went to a 7 in the S500 they were a little small, in the L7 size 7 was great, and in the He10000 size 7 is great. Not true to shoe size, but closer than others. The EE's don't squeeze my arches as much as the D's, so I have found that I prefer them, but I would just leave the d's looser at the lower part of the skate, so it doesn't matter much.

BTW Justin, I now currently rotate between 4 pairs of Mission Ice skates, and 7 pairs of Mission inline skates. Not counting the 4 pairs of ice and 4 pairs of inline skates my wife and daughter share, put that with my 4 yr olds ice and inline I now have in active use 21 pairs of missions skates. You should see my skate rack, I'll take a pic and post it. Point being I now have 2 full punch cards and am waiting on my free Wicked 1's. LOL

I still like the Type M's the best, the 10K's are nice so far also.

i go a full size down in mission, im sure everyone is a little different. i got he9500's around christmas and i love the boots, but had a huge problem with the chassis. the back wheels were rubbing a little right off the bat, but once i changed wheels it became awful. the wheels lockup theyre rubbing so bad. i really had to work the bearings in their seat to make em usable at all. i had to file a little off the part where it was rubbing to get thme to roll mostly free. its a shame, i love the boots.

I had 2 pairs of those that I loved and completely wore out. I like them so much that when I found them with the carbon chassis I had to get 2. I was wearing out a pair every 6 months, including the Pro Team carbon, where at 6 months I even broke the chassis completely off and the LHS told me that the receipt was only 6 months ago but the boot was too worn to warrenty. I was skating so much and on such a variety of surfaces that I would completely kill a pair every 6 month, so I decided to get a seperate pair for each type of surface I skated on. They started last so well that I decided to get an extra pair for the surface I skated on most...yada, yada, yada...I woke up one day with a few more skates than absolutely necessary. LOL

I have had many others that I have sold or thrown out, but these are in use. Some for concrete as they aren't so good. Some I use only when I play goalie, as I am not a goalie and only fill in, so the older ones are usually for that. The D-Limited's fall into this catagory, and are soon to be thrown out, as the boot is quite broke down. The chassis' are still great so I may store them just to have a back up chassis.

These are also used by myself, wife, 13 yr old, and 4 yr old, so there are 4 skaters on both ice and inline. To be fair a vast majority are mine, but the girls pairs are in there. We all play on more than 1 ice and roller team, as well as some pick up here and there.

I'm on MSH, I'm a gear whore, obviously a real skate whore.
