Synthesis? 7k?

I am looking for a stick that is similar in flex, feel and, most importantly, durability to the 2004 synergy grip 75 modano. Since most sticks are just fused two-pieces should I just get that year's synthesis? Is the 7k sickick similar?I recently tried a new synergy st and was surprised at its lack of quality. Also, would there be a big difference in going from a modano o an iginla and a one-piece to a two-piece?
