rwshockey55 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2007 why are you selling the sprungs?? The biggest complaint I heard about them was that you could not accelerate like you could with a traditional chassis. Is this true?? If it helps any I would assume you would need a chassis off a size 10 and up mission boot.

Ive got a pair of RBK 5ks and they're size 10.5.ThanksSorry you're not happy with them. As I have said from the beginning, size 10 is pretty much the top for the medium frame. I've had 10.5s mounted, but the wheels are definitely right at the edge of being under the boot entirely. How many games in them? Have you skated in anything else during the same period? Ive already got three or four guys I play with interested in buying frames though.

For example, if im behind the net and or along the half boards and I actually stop, its very difficult to get started again or move back and fourth.Ive also been blowing out on stops. As in, I go to stop and my feet just fly out. And its not the wheels, ive used the same brand of rink rat wheels for a year.Again, alot of this has to do with the transition from Hi-lo to a straight frame, which ive never skated on in my life.Ive been playing for about three wheeks and its not turning around. I really like the sprungs and you know I basically planned my skates around the frame but I need to change. And no, I haven't skated on anything else during the time span. Im thinking about going back to my broken HE5550s for the time being though.I have been spreading the word about Sprung to alot of my teamates. I know two guys that are in the process of ordering. If you get any orders from Oregon, Ohio chances are its one of my buddies :D

I feel the toes are better. Maybe it's something to do with where the wheels are at the ball of the foot & the toe tips??? I've not had any problems with stopping, but then I've also been doing a lot of ice too, so I tend to stop a little more upright with the foot than I use to. As for speed. I'm getting older ;) About to order some more for my CCM tacks :D Shaun.
