Synergy 1300C w/ Eframes?

Recommended Posts

I just dropped off a set of 10.5 Easton 1300C at my LHS to get fitted to large sized Eframes. They told me it shouldn't be a problem to get done, but I remember hearing someone (Kovalchuk71?) saying they had some difficulty fitting a chassis to the Synergy boot.

I was originally planning on having them swap my Tridi chassis from my RBK 4k skates over to the 1300s, but the price they were charging me to swap holders was close to the cost of a new frame, which includes installation.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Do Eframes and 1300s work?

Think someone mentioned that the eframes are too 'curved' one the mounting plates and the easton's are too flat, hence the problem.

I've got some frames if you want... pm me

if there's a problem with the curve/shape difference between the boot and frame, shims could be added to make up the difference.

If the shop knows what they're doing, and told you they can do it, you should be fine.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume they know what they're doing as they were mounting Vanguards on a set of XXXs when I went to drop my skates off. They said the Eframes shouldn't be a problem, I'm just looking to hear from anyone whos had experience with inline frames on the 1300C. :)

Sprungs fit perfectly on my 1300c. Not sure if you're looking to go that route though.

E frames M fit perfectly on my 800c's 8.5 only problem was one or two of the riveting holes were so close to the ice holder holes that they overlap like a Venn diagram (1st visual i could think of)

But the shape seemed to match, oh one thing I was worried about was the middle 80mm wheel grinding the DryFlow system since that part of the skate comes out from the bottom of the boot a bit, but it just barely clears so I lucked out there.
