Response-Rubber blade

so i found a responserubber that was broken in half but the blade was still in pretty good condidtion. i thought that since it was a TPS and i had pulled the blade out of my adrenaline that the blade would come out no problemo. to make a long story short, i heated up the blade and tried to pull it out, but the carbon fibers in the hostel unraveled and now it is broken. is that supposed to happen or did i try to pull the blade out the wrong way??

I think what that means is that your stick was assembled correctly
