Doctor Hook 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2007 I didn't feel like making a new thread, so bumped my old one.I finnaly got the chance to go to my LHS yesterday afternoon, just to see they were fresh out of Intakes because of the season starting. Good news is they're getting some this week. I'd like to get some more info on the Nike Bauer 5500 and 4500 helmets though. I loved the fit of the 5500, and am leaning towards it. I didn't get much information on it. What worries me, is that Lindros and Colaiacovo got their concussions wearing that bucket. I've heard great things about the 4500 also. If the Intake doesen't appeal to me, I'll be buying one of those 2.I've rocked CCMs, Coopers, and Itechs, and the 4500 was my first foray into the NBH bucket world. I will not buy a different model helmet again, this thing is perfect. Good weight, balance, protection, airflow, and most importantly looks. Without a cage, you can get it for maybe $45 or so and that should leave enough dough for a replacement blade and a soft pretzel from the rink snack bar. Buy this bucket, or die trying.
