I'm not sure wear the games will be played at but we stayed at the Quebec Hilton. It is about 20 minutes from the Pepsi Collisade (sp). It overlooks the St Lawrence and is right across the street from Old Quebec. We paid about $160.00 (US) a night. It seemed pretty conveniantly located and was walking distance from anything you wanted.

We visit Quebec City every 2nd summer-great for tourists, usually stay at the Loews hotel on major st that leads right into main gates of old town, 10 minute walk. Lots of good restaraunts on that street, many patios-everything but the Colisee walkable distance. With bars/restaraunts all in that area Loews is a good choice, put car away in evening-wifes can walk to shopping also.

Lots of free tourist sites in Quebec City, embankments, Plains of Abraham and especially the walls with cannon overlooking the river are worth visiting.
