Itech X-Wing 7.8 vs Itech X-Wing 4.8

I am looking at these two pads. But Im not sure which one is really for me. I play Travel and rec inline hockey. So i dont really need the top of the line product. Which one is really for me? As it looks on some pictures.. the 4.8 doesnt have the spoiler like the 12.8 and the 7.8 pads. If I get the 4.8 pads i will get the 7.8 glove and blocker. But maybe i should get the 7.8 pads with 4.8 glove and blocker? Or just 4.8 all around? I dont have enough $$ to get all 7.8 gear, but i would mix match pads and gloves.

I also get a lot of stingers with the glove i have now. TPS Bionic. Im hoping the 7.8 and the 4.8 are better built in the palm.

well, first thing is to stop catching in the palm, you have a whole glove to use. I would sat stay all with the 4.8 if it is for inline for 2 reasons.

1. the level of padding needed is slightly reduced, due to lower speed and force

2. pads wera out quicker, even on sportcout/icecourt etc etc...
