Chadd,

He said he definitely wants me in a longer splint than i currently have. I'd like to just have one that covers my forearm, and not wrist, but apparently you need to have it going over the wrist. to be honest i'll probably just wrap it with some sort of padding because I dont think playing with a stiff bottom hand wrist will be too pretty.

Im right handed also Edge. I played with a brace on my right arm (Bottom Hand), and it felt really weird and bulky, and I could barely move my wrist up and down. Although it hampered the movement of my wrist it was very protective. But then again I was pretty much useless on the ice, my coach just used me when our forwards needed a rest. lol

I had a fracture in my arm,,,,broke about seven eights of the bone. They gave me a full cast, past my elbow. I skated on it for a week,,,just skating and no puck. Next week I stickhandled and could get the puck in the air. I played a game with the full cast, and wasnt as good of a stickhandler but I could play decently. After that I asked the doc if I could play and he was all against it, but they gave me a little crappy cast. I put a small 9inch shin pad over my arm and played after 2.5 weeks, and you oudlnt know I broke my arm. I did favour my arm going into corners and what not, but it didnt hurt so I played.

That shin pad idea is pretty brilliant. I'll have to throw that on and see how it feels!

Thanks guys.
