Not really surprising. 35 years old and winding down (for a while now) in the NHL...but he'll still put on a show back home. Good move for both, I think.

This is some what of a new trend for the better known players. These guys can make decent money playing in their leagues back home or in the Russian super league. I forget who it was that said it but they were saying that most of them enjoy that style of play much more than the NHL's. The super league games that came on over here for a while were much more fun to watch (IMO) the game seemed a lot faster and had a better offensive flow to it. I though Jagr was supose to retire at the end of this past season to do the same thing, or is it next? did anyone else hear this? I think Petr could still play in the NHL given he was in the right situation but if I had a choice of making 1 or 2 million at home or away from home I'd pick at home. Thats just me.
