RBK 8k

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'd like to hear any opinions with regards to the RBK 8k. Comfort, durability and type of fit are welcome. I've heard that this skate fits looser than the Vector 10, should you go a half size down to accomadate the same type of fit or not. I'm in need of a new pair of skates and would appreciate any help.

Thanks to everyone,

Nelson

Do not change your size. The RBK skate fits very much like the older CCM Tack skates. They are wider in the heel. You should really try them on and see how they fit. My experiece has been most people really like the fit but everyone's foot is different. If the CCM fits you, go with that one. If your heart is set on an RBK, you could try a more narrow size.

I haven't a chance of trying them. My heart isn't set on nothing really, I'm in need of a new pair of skates soon and I would like to get something comfortable and durable. I currently have a pair of CCM Vector PF8's and I like the fit, if the RBK's fit similar to these I wouldn't think twice but since I can't try them I'm trying to pick up all and any info on their type of fit. If you have any other info on the skate model I'll appreciate it very much.

Thanks alot,

Nelson

I had a pair of 6k skates for about a year now, and just upgraded to the 8k skates. Not a bad skate at all, and i very much would recommend them to anyone. They're byfar the most comfortable skate in my opinion.

Why did you upgrade? did the 6k's get wrecked fast?

Overall could this skate be considered comfortable and durable? With regards to weight, how is it? The clarino liner, is it some type of leather textured lining or is it the same type used in CCM Vector's. I have a pair for my size on hold so I'd appreciate any answer to my questions.

Thanks in advance,

Nelson

actually, i decided to go to sprungs, and i got a brused bone in my foot from a slapper i took to the outside of my left foot, took me out of the game for about 3 weeks. So, i upgraded to an 8k boot, and but the chassis on it.
