Is it to stiff ?

Basically a grip you put in the end of your stick...from what I have read and heard its like an end plug as well. TONS of discussion on here about them. Do some searching around..

How does it make it not as stiff

It has composite flex built into it.

It's totally counter-intuitive, but I help Joe Casasanta of Oggie in his booth at the Toronto tradeshow, where he had an apparatus that measured the flex of sticks (in this case, partial sticks). The three-foot length of stick-only was measuring around 49 flex, which makes sense, since the stick was rated 50 flex by the manufacturer. The three-foot length of stick and Oggie grip (totalling three feet between the two) was generally measuring between 42 and 43 flex.

So, instead of making the stick stiffer, which cutting generally does, adding the Oggie grip actually made the stick less stiff than its manufacturer's rating. It also has been measured to increase shot speed.
