People have been using home made forms of these for a while now. Basically the 12 dollar resistance band you can get at the local sports store, remove the plastic handle and I typically would attach it to boot straps. I'm sure the manufactured version is a little bit better in quality but 100 bucks Vs. a 20 dollar home made version.

I've seen that same product somewhere else for a lot less. I'll try to find it and post a link when I find it. It looks like this might work as well and its on $14.95. I don't know if these will open wide enough to go over skates.

this guy i know was using it and he said it made his stride alot shorter

Yeah, thats why I stopped using the homemade one. It started to give me a short choppy inefficient stride.

My understanding of it, is that its supose to strenghten the skating muscles in your legs via resistance training. Personally I like weighted vest, shorts, and ankle weights
