Problem with Oakley visor/cage combo

Recommended Posts

I've had my Oakley visor/cage combo for a month now. However, I am having a lot of problems with it since it would literally fog up EVERY SINGLE SHIFT. I used the Oakley spray after each game and even tried to spray some on before the game tonite but it still fogs up every single shift. Is this a manufacturing defect or is it normal? Can I bring it back to where I got it and ask the shop to exchange it for me or talk directly to Oakley and see wussup?

Thanks in advance.

well, it is August, so it depends how cold your rink is. My shield fogs a little here in MD, but w/ 100 deg heat and high humidity, I doubt there is much you can do. Eventually physics wins.

Yeah, there's no amount of defogger that can stop that from time to time...even with the cage part, those things don't get the best airflow. I wore one for about 5 games but it drove me nuts, it was too much of a distraction having to deal with the sweat dripping and any moisture accumulating around the nose area.

Ya, it's so hard to wipe off the sweater through those small holes of the cage. But my friend has the exact same visor and he uses the same spray on his and it never fogs up. So I am just wondering if there is something wrong with mine...

Also it might come down that the visor part of the shield is to long for your face and you are breathing more into the actual visor itself. If this is the problem no amount of spray will solve this problem. Check to make sure the clips are installed properly which ill cause the shield to sit lower down
