Thicker Christian wood blades?

Can anyone comment on these? I picked up a few Christian wood blades at a bargain, and I noticed the middle of the blade seems thicker than the rest of it. This is to say that from the heel to the toe, it looks like a rod was placed in it to make the blade thicker. The top of the blade and the bottom of the blade are thin, save for the middle.

I have used Christian blades before and I have noticed that different patterns seemed to have different thicknesses to them but I haven't noticed it in the same blade like you have. Overall, I really like Christian blades. They seem to last about as long as any other wood blade on the market and they are very easy to shape if you don't like the curve.

The thickness all has to do with the way in which they are sanded.
