shinguards

Hey, I am about 5.7 and I use size 14 shin guards..I used to put my shinpads over my toungs and I had size 15...but I put my shinguards under my toungs now nd use a 14...I was wondering if I should be using a 13...the 14's go a little past the top of the boot...how do you guys have your shinpads and how low do they go in comparison to your boot if you put them inside the toung

the general rule i use for in the tounge is roughly 1 inch above the ankle "knob" or bone. with the knee cap seated properly on the knee.
