Ordering from a LHS

I went to my LHS to pick up a set of skate holders since my old set had a pretty nasty crack in them. They had the set I wanted in stock, however since it is my off season I asked if they wouldn't mind ordering them for me in a different color (white LS2's for my One90's). Anyways, they told me that it would take 2-3 weeks to have them shipped and its been almost 3 months now.

What I'm asking is, is it normal for something like this to take so long? I'm not impatient by any means, however I have been practicing on my backups all summer (too small) and I have my first game this weekend! I went in there once about a month ago, and I called them up yesterday and they just seem annoyed.

Any advice or am I really just being impatient?

It all depends on availability from the factory. Have they told you that they are currently out of stock at the factory, or anything like that? If you are that concerned about being on your back ups then I would simply purchase the holders that they have in stock and not worry about the color.

What size were you looking for? Was it just the holders or runners too? I've had some on backorder for a few months and they just shipped out at the end of last week. It's probable that they just quoted you the time it would normally take without checking to see if they were available. If that was the case and they were backordered it would have been nice if they had given you an update.
