Graf 707s...

I just know that these skates retail for quite a bit... but is it the kind of skate that finding a moderately used pair for 100$ is a real steal?

I owned a pair of 707's years ago.

It is a very different style of boot to skate on. the 2 piece upper changes the feeling of support that you may be used to. Especially if you are on a Canadian brand.

For me I never really got used to it.

I agree with helper. I got my 705's for $100 and have never had a better skate. Although these are different styles if they fit you then get them.

Grafs are all but legendary for their durability (save the G series and their outsole issues).

As long as they're not entirely chewed up, it's well worth that price. If they don't work out, you might even turn a profit on them.

I got a pair of 709s on here for 125, and I'd jump at the chance to do it again, Hell, I'd pay nearly double. (Just don't tell the guy I bought them from)

DamnLocust, I haven't heard- what is wrong with the g series outsole and has it been fixed. Also, I was thinking about the G5's and was wondering whether or not the inside mesh-like liner is better than the leather on the 705's. Or maybe it's just preference. I tried on a pair and couldn't really notice a difference but what about durability? I appreciate any help!

They have a couple pairs of Grafs there... the 707s at lik 70 or 100 and another set... can't remember model. I'm gonna go back and pick up the 707s and give them a run at an open skate... I'm interested in the upper part of the boot, want to see how they feel.

The original G series had issues with outsole separation.

I haven't heard anything but good about the new Ultra G series. 2 of my teammates wear Ultra G-5s and love them.

I was asking one of them what he thought about the liner and he kinda shrugged and said it didn't feel any different than the clarino, but I believe it dries faster.
