please help me find a stick

Recommended Posts

Hey just got back into hockey last year and i've been having trouble finding a stick that i really like. In february I bought an Easton SL Iginla curve 85 flex and a ST Gaborik curve 100 flex. I loved the control I had with the Inginla but could not shoot for anything, and had trouble making crisp passes. I love the shot and pass I have with the Gaborik curve but my stick handling is really suffering, I can't toe drag to save my life with it. Any suggestions that would give me the best of both worlds? I weigh 170 pounds and I feel like the 100 flex works best for me. Would I be good to go with a 100 flex Iginla? Do they even make it? I'm thining about cutting the blade off the Iginla because it's shot and just experimenting with some replacement blades, starting with a sakic, before I go buying another one-piece. I'm open to any manufacturers. thanks

most roller hockey guys pick a 85-90 flex...at least for outdoors. i love my Ballistik 45 Calibur 90 flex...light and very responsive.

btw...sure, blame it on the stick! ;)

I personally like the Spezza curve by Sherwood as it was the happy medium for me. I jumped from Forsberg/Modano which was a little overstable for me. The old D Sedin from Jofa in the 9500 blade they made was also a good all around imo.

i use a mission ion 85flex for my indoor leagues with a sherwood xd momentum coffe curve and i love it i use an easton octane outdoors but i think i am gonna junk it because it is way to heavy and just put my koho crossover blade on it for outdoor rinks. i have been playing hockey for alittle more than 3 years and i was useing a 110 flex easton ultra light but i will exclusively keep my 85 flex ion as my number 1. it is light has a boxey feel but you get used to it quick. thats just my input.
