New Nike-Bauer Skates

Recommended Posts

I wish they would make them available in EE sizes. I bought a pair of Accel Lites last year and was very impressed. I really like the OneUp chassis. Only problem is they were too narrow for me and I had to put them on eBay.

Do you think they are one of the narrowest inline skates on the market-my stupid feet are fairly narrow. thanks.

They are probably not one of the narrowest. From what I understand, their width is R instead of D, and R is supposedly a bit wider than D. I normally can't fit my feet into D width skates, and I was able to wear the R widths for a few games, even though I really need EEs.

Are the new Accel Lites not as high performance as last years?

Last year's were going for 200+ when they came out and Inlinewarehouse recommended them for pro-level players.

The new ones are much cheaper and only recommended intermediate-advance level players.

Bauer doesn't care about the inline market anymore. All of their "top of the line" roller boots are equivalent to their lower line ice boots. The xg-lite goalie boot was equivalent to the XIV goalie boot, aka bottom of the line. I'm pretty sure the forward boots are of the same equivalent in terms of ranking and quality.

Yeah you are right for the most part. Hopefully if Nike sells Bauer, the company that buys them will actually sink some money into their inline skates.
