Computer mouse problem

I'm not very smart with computers. My mouse all of a sudden has been acting wierd, i can still click on things but it won't let me highlight stuff. Like it won't let me click and hold and drag along words. Also the button in the middle that, when you click and hold, you're supposed to be able to scroll up and down with, it doesn't let me hold it. And of course i have no idea what to do.

well I suppose the lazy/obvious thing to do would be buy a new moues, unless it is under warrenty. Without seeing it there isn't much more I can say :(

PS: have you tried to use it with another computer to see if it is the mouse or the computer?
