Replacing toe cap?

Recommended Posts

Hey hockey experts out there. I have a pair of Mission 9500s and just noticed that the big toe side of my left skate has worn through. There is actually a small slit just above the outsole. Are toe caps replaceable and if so where. Can they be sent back to the manufacturer. Im really kind of bummed because I have less that a year skating in them because I spent most of the past year with a broken femur and it means their not that durable.

If I remember correctly on those skates.....the toe cap is plastic and one piece molded with the boot. So I don't believe that you can replace the toe cap. However, you can use a heavy duty plastic epoxy and fill in the hole and build the cap back up. I have done this on my Code 1's on the inside/back of the toe cap as it is typically dragged on slap shots. Hope this helps you out.
