thinking about trading away getzlaf, labarbera and kaberle for vokun and Derek Morris.

any input? I need goaltending. I've got thomas and dipietro...need a third (others are price, auld, and labarbera)

I would definitely try to acquire a top goalie if I were in your shoes. Thomas has been awful since returning from injury and DiPietro also is having issues. Problem being that few people will be willing to part with Vokoun, you might want to try and pick up someone less well known but still good. Also, how is your league scoring?

It's a yahoo league. goalie scoring included Wins, GAA, Saves, Goals Against, Shut outs, and Save %. It's a head to head format.

I have a great offense, with extra centers. So i was thinking a top center for a close to top goaltender would be fair. I'm also in need of Defense, but that's not as important. I need the serious help in goaltending.

I think you've got the right idea. Trade some of your scoring forwards, and only toss in a defenseman as a last resort.

It might be a good idea to look at any potential free agent netminders for the short term, Ty Conklin or Kerri Ramo maybe? DiPietro will soon return and Thomas might be able to return to form. I love picking up FA goalies as stop gap measures, instead of giving up all my scoring power in a trade.
